Acocks Green

Our Acocks Green centre...

...is run by Head Coach George 🙂

Every Friday between 6-7pm he delivers fun, technique-based development sessions for kids from 6-10 years @ Archbishop Ilsley school

It's a brand new centre (October 2024) but has taken off like a rocket!

No surprise to us - George is pretty special 🙂

"So why are your sessions different?"

There are several reasons (!) but one of the key differences is we use Futsal balls as often as possible during our sessions 🙂

Futsal balls are heavier than usual footballs and have very little bounce.

Simply, the ball stays in place for longer, which means your child will have more overall touches of the ball...

...200% in fact, compared to traditional indoor football!

"I've never heard of Futsal!"

'Futbol de Salao' originated in South America and was played on hard courts with a smaller 'ball' (often with plastic bags tied together with elastic bands!)

The absence of coaching encouraged creativity, and playing in a tight space helped to develop close control.

'Futsal' is the new version of Futbol de Salao and played globally!

The UK was a little slow catching up, but it is now one of the fastest growing sports in the country!

But don't take our word for it!

Our Values

Futsal also fits perfectly with our core values and main coaching principle

Our 4 values govern everything we do...

...from the type of coaches we recruit, to the customers we want to attract (i.e. people like you!) and how we deliver our sessions.

1 - Have Fun
2 - Build Confidence
3 - Child First
4 - Development focused

"Maximise the numbers of touches on the ball"

...and Panna?

'Panna football' is a Dutch phenomenon, played in a tight space with 2 goals and 1v1 or 2v2 format.

Whoever has scored the most goals at the end of the game wins, BUT kids can also INSTANTLY win the game by performing a nutmeg (or "panna") on their opponent!

Our Training Programme

Our training plan was designed by a UEFA Premier League Academy Coach and has been tried and tested over a number of years.

Every season and every week is mapped out from 5 to 16 years - that’s over 550 sessions!

That means we can tell you what your child will be working on in any week of the year for their ENTIRE grassroots journey!

Your child's pathway

We have a direct link with Kings Heath Sports FC and can offer a route into competitive football for kids from 6 years +

The Kings Heath Sports FC teams play competitive matches in Sunday league football.

Each year we create two new Football teams (Year 1 & Year 2) to join Kings Heath Sports FC.

Many of the Loves Football coaches manage teams for Kings Heath Sports FC 🙂

"Oh no, I've hit a waiting list!"

We value your child’s experience over profit and strictly limit the size of the groups.

If you find the session is full, then just add your child's name to the waiting list.

We will let you know when we have space.

We create space all the time as we progress kids to more challenging groups and recruit new coaches.

Your child won’t have to wait too long to join in the action 🙂
