Loves Football

Free play Futsal

What is "freeplay Futsal?"

Well, let's explain why we set up these sessions...
"Lets provide an opportunity for kids to play competitive football who didn't get the chance elsewhere"

So as a result, these sessions are 99% match time...

...and perhaps why they are our LONGEST running sessions!

The sessions are designed to encourage kids to find their own solutions to in game challenges, free from being "told what to do" by a coach!

This is creativity overload and as you'd expect - the kids love it

"I've never heard of Futsal!"

'Futbol de Salao' originated in South America and was played on hard courts with a smaller 'ball' (often with plastic bags tied together with elastic bands!)

The absence of coaching encouraged creativity, and playing in a tight space helped to develop close control.

'Futsal' is the new version of Futbol de Salao and played globally!

The UK was a little slow catching up, but it is now one of the fastest growing sports in the country!

But don't take our word for it!

Why is Futsal so important to your child?

200% more touches of the ball in Futsal versus football!!!

Tight spaces and a heavier ball mean better dribbling, passing, and decision-making.

Builds quick footwork and sharpens your child's game intelligence.

Improves fitness and agility while having fun 🙂

Boosts creativity as your child shows off their flair in tight spaces and 1v1 situations

Kids who play futsal tend to be the most creative players on the team and the most comfortable players on the ball.

All the kids who have progressed to academies from our groups played futsal regularly alongside their team training

Kings Heath (9-13 year olds)

Held at Kings Heath Secondary School (previously Kings Heath Boys School)

These sessions are perfect for beginners and suit kids with a developing interest in Football, through to ones who play Football (or Futsal) regularly.

Most of the kids in our Futsal sessions were beginners to Futsal when they started, but the learning curve is rapid!

Moseley School (14-17 year olds)

These sessions are held on the fabulous 4G pitch in Moseley School!

The standard is pretty high!

The younger players all play at a high competitive standard and the older players have experience of playing in football teams.

But don't let this put you off...

...If your child has played some kind of football before at any level then they'll get upto speed pretty quickly

Your Coaches

Your child will be looked after by George and Jago

George is a highly experienced coach and previous coach trainer for Solihull Moors and Redditch United.

He also coaches with Kings Heath Sports FC and is a senior member of the Loves Football management team.

Jago is a bit of a legend amongst the kids - despite being a young lad, he is our longest-serving coach and easily the most popular coach amongst the kids.

Both George and Jago are First Aid trained, safeguarding qualified and are DBS checked.

They are a lovely pair and have your kids best interests at heart 🙂
