Kings Norton

Our Kings Norton centre...

...is the only place you can play 'Futsal' and 'Panna' style football under one roof.

Every Wednesday between 5-7pm, we cater for kids from 5-11 years.
It's a large sportshall so there is plenty of space to split the groups 🙂

5pm - 5/6 years - Mini Ballers
5pm - 7/8 years - Futsal Beginners
6pm - 9/11 years - Junior Futsal

(Oh and did we mention we play to the backdrop of music?)

"I've never heard of either of them!"

Both Futsal and Panna have their origins in 'street football'.
The absence of coaching encouraged creativity, and playing in a tight space helped to develop close control.

But don't take our word for it!

Why are Futsal and Panna so important to your child?

200% more touches of the ball in Futsal versus indoor football!!!

Tight spaces and a heavier ball mean better dribbling, passing, and decision-making.

Builds quick footwork and sharpens your child's game intelligence.

Improves fitness and agility while having fun 🙂

Boosts creativity as your child shows off their flair in tight spaces and 1v1, 2v2 battles.

Our Values

Futsal and Panna also fit perfectly with our core values and main coaching principle

Our 4 values govern everything we do...

...from the type of coaches we recruit, to the customers we want to attract (i.e. people like you!) and how we deliver our sessions.

1 - Have Fun
2 - Build Confidence
3 - Child First
4 - Development focused

"Maximise the numbers of touches on the ball"

So... what is Futsal?

'Futbol de Salao' originated in South America and was played on hard courts with a smaller 'ball' (often with plastic bags tied together with elastic bands!)

'Futsal' is the new version of Futbol de Salao and played globally!

The UK was a little slow catching up, but it is now one of the fastest growing sports in the country!

...and Panna?

'Panna football' is a Dutch phenomenon, played in a tight space with 2 goals and 1v1 or 2v2 format.

Whoever has scored the most goals at the end of the game wins, BUT kids can also INSTANTLY win the game by performing a nutmeg (or "panna") on their opponent!

Mini Ballers - 5pm (5/6 years)

Okay, so let’s be frank…

We don’t intend to teach the inner dynamics, rules and tactics of Futsal to 5 year old kids! Can you imagine how well that would go down?

The focus for our Mini Ballers group is to become used to the slightly heavier ball, develop their close control, improve their agility and core movement… and have lots of fun!

You should expect:

- Playground games with a football twist
- Lots of small sided matches (1v1, 2v2)

Futsal Beginners - 5pm (7/8 years)

Our 'Futsal Beginners' session is an extension of the Mini Ballers group and is open to beginners 🙂

We'll focus on:
- Developing core futsal skills
- Working as a team in small groups
- Child led sessions where they have an input into the rules / objectives

Your kids should expect:
- Playground games with a football twist
- Lots of small sided matches (1v1, 2v2)
- An introduction to Panna football
- Skills development through repetition

Junior Futsal - 6pm (9/11 years)

This session builds on the skills learned in previous groups but is also open to total beginners 🙂

We'll focus on:
- Developing core futsal skills
- 1v1 development
- Working as a team in small groups (2/3/4/5)
- Child-led sessions where they have an input into the rules / objectives

Your child should expect:
- Lots of small sided matches (1v1, 2v2)
- Panna football area
- Skills development through repetition
- 4v4, 5v5 matches and tournaments

Our Training Programme

Our Futsal training programme is designed by a UEFA qualified Futsal Coach and has been tried and tested over a number of years and age groups.

Three themes keep recurring:

1 - Kids who play futsal tend to be the most creative players on the team and the most comfortable players on the ball.

2 - Pretty much all the kids who have progressed to academies from our groups played futsal regularly alongside their team training.

3 - Kids often prefer futsal to traditional Sunday league football.

Your Coaching Team

Your child will be coached by Courtney and Andre, both of whom are are FA qualified coaches in Football & Futsal.

They are First Aid trained, safeguarding qualified and are DBS checked.

Courtney is a busy mum to two young kids, and Andre is a very talented footballer who played at semi-professional level for Solihull Moors.

They are also lovely people and have your kids best interests at heart 🙂

Your child's pathway

We have a direct link with Kings Heath Sports FC and can offer a route into competitive football for kids from 6 years +

The Kings Heath Sports FC teams play competitive matches in Sunday league football.

Each year we create two new Football teams (Year 1 & Year 2) to join Kings Heath Sports FC.

Many of the Loves Football coaches manage teams for Kings Heath Sports FC 🙂
